Slam is rather good.
High Fidelity is by far the best one, though. The movie too, surprisingly, lives up to the book. :)

This is the first of his books that I've read. I totally love it. I want to read 'High Fidelity' next. Any other books by Nick Hornby that you'd recommend?

One of my favorite writers and a fantastic book. He has a great way of sort of agreeing with you and then throwing a curveball at you once you're invested. Every time I pick up one of his books I end up re-thinking my life. :)

I agree. I read the book before the movie and I think the movie did a good job of depicting the novel. Nick Hornby is a good writer. I was given this book when I was 17 backpacking through Europe.
