It sounds like millanair coming from his mouth!

Re: O-zone Layer

I really liked the part of the movie with the kids, yeah :) The kids were awesome. The other actors were pretty bleh.

Re: O-zone Layer

I agree. Love the music. I don't know if it deserved the Oscar nomination, since I haven't heard the soundtracks of other movies that came out in 2008, but I love it nonetheless and feel good about Rahman winning. The movie wasn't just okay, it was good. But not as good as they are making it to be. Only the kids were the good actors, especially the youngest Jamal. And seriously I don't understand why Bollywood is getting so excited about it. Anil Kapoor sucks!

Re: O-zone Layer

Totally agree. It was a british movie, made for a western audience. Years of race-aware politics have made such movies treat the non-white characters as regular people, rather than 'exotic other'.

Anil kapoors accent was totally cute/wierd in SDM - swallowing entire syllables in words - 'thouand' instead of thousand, and so on. But he was creepy when he was supposed to be...so i guess he can act!

The Times of India is not a newspaper, but a talking roll of toilet paper - worse actually, since toilet paper has more integrity. This morning, accompanying a (overly emphasised) story about a guy dying after a viagra fuelled session with two women, there was a cartoon of a 'sexy' girl saying 'He came and then went' - you're right you cant make this shit up.

Re: O-zone Layer

The movie was good, better than most American movies out right now. But I'll agree with you on the soundtrack. It wasn't that great, just average. But since the movie did so well, I think the music was looked at in a different way (that being just "different").
